Advantages of Cloth with Convenience of Disposables
Saturday, October 17, 2009 13:50I’ve been cloth diapering for about 10 months now, and I thought we pretty much had our system down to a science. Then we found out we were expecting baby #4, and I started my diaper hunt all over again. I’ve been trying to find both smaller diapers, and diapers that might make my life a little easier when we have two in diapers full time, and one at night.
One of the brands I came across in my research was Gro Baby. They produce a one sized shell (cover) that fits babies from 8-35 pounds. The shells come in some very cute prints, as well as a variety of colors. They also make two different options for inserts. There is a nice looking organic soaker pad, but even more conveniently, they also have disposable inserts.
The Gro Baby Biodegradable Soaker Pads, are convenient for travel or days out, because they are thrown away when it’s time for a diaper change. They’re more ecologically friendly than a traditional disposable diapers though because they are:
- Biodegradable & Compostable
- Breathable & Hypo-Allergenic
- Fragrance & Dye Free
- Plastic Free
- Chlorine Free
Whichever soaker system you use, you can reuse the cover for multiple diaper changes as long as it isn’t soiled.

I’m hoping to have a chance to try out the Gro Baby Biodegradable Soaker system soon for free! Gro Baby is running a blog giveaway here, and qualifying bloggers will get a free Bio Soaker Intro Package. Check it out to see if you qualify. I’ll be sure to share my thoughts in an upcoming post if I get to try them out.
