A unique new device is providing a creative way for family and friends to bond with your baby-to-be, no matter how far away they are.  Sound Beginnings and Sound Delivery by Creative Baby Inc. is a unique platform that allows a mother to share music and voice messages with their baby during the third trimester of pregnancy.

Sound Beginnings is a comfortable, easy to use nylon/lycra band that is worn by mom, and has integrated waterproof speakers perfectly positioned to play sound during the third trimester
using any MP3 player. It also includes a headphone splitter so both mom and baby can listen at the same time.

The thing that makes Sound Beginnings unique and interesting to me is the Sound Delivery service which allows anyone with access to a telephone to record messages for the baby via a 1-800 telephone number.  The service then converts the recorded messages to an MP3 file which can be accessed online and downloaded to mom’s MP3 player.

When I first read about and saw Sound Beginnings, I immediately thought that the system would be fantastic for military families who are expecting while dad is deployed overseas.  It provides an amazingly easy way for dad to do some bonding with baby when he can’t be by mom’s side.  Really, it would be a great gift for anyone who would like to help far flung family and friends bond with their baby by recording special messages.  The messages could also serve as a fun keepsake to pass on to a child when they grow up.

Sound Beginnings retails at $49.95, which includes free minutes with the Sound Delivery service.  Additional minutes can also be purchased online.  You can find out more at the Creative Baby website!

What a fantastic idea, especially about the idea on the military Fathers. So important to connect on a sound level with babies, what are your views on other things such as whale sounds?? do they really help?

My mom used to watch “The Price is right” when I was in the womb… No wonder why I am such a huge BobBarker Fan :)
