High Heels to Hormones – Coping with Back Pain

A few weeks ago, we brought you a guest post from Dr. Christina Lasich, author of High Heels to Hormones: A Woman’s Guide to Spine Care, about back pain in pregnancy. It’s been a busy few weeks, but since that last post, I’ve had the pleasure of reading High Heels to Hormones myself.
As both a chronic back pain sufferer, and a physician specializing in spine rehabilitation, Dr. Lasich brings a unique perspective to the advice she offers to women in her book.
High Heels to Hormones covers everything women need to know about back pain and spine health, including how being a woman impacts your general spine health. Woman centered topics include the impact of breasts (and poorly fitting bras) and child bearing on back pain.
High Heels to Hormones is practical, easy to read, and is broken down into small, easy to digest sections that even a busy mom can find time for. Humorous illustrations help to drive home each point, and each section is wrapped up with an exercise to help build a stronger, healthier back!
If you suffer from back pain, or you’re a woman who’d like to learn more about spine health, I highly recommend this book. If you liked Dr. Lasich’s post about pregnancy back pain, you can buy her book here.
