We are foster/adoptive parents in TX. Just approached today about a micro-preemie in TX who needed a fost/adopt family immediately because CPS was going to discontinue life support because of the medical costs involved. Unreal.

Thankfully, he got a family just in the nick of time.

We'd love to step up for a wee one in a similar situation....sure hope we make some contacts with the right people.
