Unique Blanket Protects Baby from Germs, Sun and Nosy Strangers

As a mom of a preemie, and two babies born during cold and flu season, I know what it’s like to worry over germs. All babies are at risk for complications from RSV or influenza, but preemies are at a particularly high risk for hospitalization or even death if they contract either one of these common viruses.
So, what’s a parent to do when there’s just no way around leaving the house (either for an appointment, or for the sake of their own sanity)?
The makers of the Secure2Me blanket have one excellent solution. Their unique blankets feature baby safe clips on each corner, which can be used to secure them to strollers, infant carriers, slings, or anywhere else you can safely clip one. Using these clip-on blankets has a three fold benefit:
- it keeps your blanket from slipping off onto the germy ground or into a puddle or dirt;
- it shields your baby from the cold, rain, etc.;
- it keeps nosy strangers and their potentially germy hands at bay by keeping your baby out of site.
Secure2Me blankets have other uses too. They can clip onto mom’s clothing to use as a nursing cover-up, and the Eclipse Solarveil Sun Protection Blanket can help keep baby cool and block out the sun’s harmful UV rays. Obviously, a blanket from Secure2Me would make a unique and truly useful shower gift for any mom-to-be, or for any new parent, preemie or not!
On top of being functional and practical, the blankets are also beautiful and well made! They come in a ton of fun fabric combinations, with different weights and styles good for every season. The founders of Secure2Me were kind enough to send me a sample of one of their Eclipse blankets, and I can honestly say it is lovely, durable, and extremely useful in the hot July sun!! Secure2Me blankets are all made in the USA under fair labor practices, so you can feel good about buying them too.
